- Peter Kingsmill
- Peter is one of the founders of Shearwater River Cruises Ltd. and Shearwater Marine Services Ltd. He has held Master's tickets for The Prairie Lily, Saskatoon Princess and Meewasin Queen on the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Peter has been active in a variety of roles in the tourism and marine industries, both nationally and locally. He served as Editor of TOURISM magazine for the Canadian Tourism Commission between 2000 and 2008, is Editor for the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists, and has served two terms as Mayor of his home community (Hafford). Peter was awarded the Governor General of Canada's Conservation Award (1992) and Tourism Saskatchewan's Fred Heal Tourism Ambassador Award (2002). He is credited with bringing to fruition the designation (2000) of the Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO) which includes the Town of Hafford, Redberry Lake, and the surrounding watershed.
